I combine the structure of the Gottman Method with a deep understanding of trauma, attachment, emotional regulation, and the personal, family, and cultural histories that shape how you respond to each other.
I won’t sit quietly while you repeat the same fight you have at home. I step in, slow things down, and help you see what is really happening between you.
We do not just talk about what keeps going wrong between you. We practise new ways of responding right there in the room, so change does not stay theoretical.
Extended time allows us to stay with difficult conversations rather than stopping and returning to them the following week.
Weekly sessions provide a consistent space to address recurring concerns, build on progress, and strengthen the relationship over time.
Structured couples therapy is combined with additional support to help you apply the work when conflict, disconnection, or repair is happening in real life. The structure and fee are tailored to the frequency and format of treatment included.
Individual sessions may be recommended through the assessment or as the couple's work progresses while keeping your shared relationship goals central.
Knowing what to say is not the same as being able to say it when it matters.
Check my Jane booking page for current availability. Book a consultation or initial 75-minute couples session and indicate whether you are interested in weekly, marathon, or concierge therapy. If seeking weekly therapy, reserve four follow-up sessions to secure consistent space in my schedule.
The structured assessment includes an initial joint session, individual sessions with each partner, and the Gottman Relationship Checkup. This helps us understand your relationship and the support you need.
We meet together to review the findings, clarify your goals, and develop a treatment plan. Together, we confirm or adjust the format—weekly, marathon, concierge, individual sessions that support the couples work, or a combination.
We focus on the goals and priorities identified through the assessment, helping meaningful changes carry into everyday life. As the work progresses, we reassess your needs and adjust the plan or format as needed.
It makes sense to want to know whether the fit feels right. Couples therapy, however, is not typically a one-session consultation. It works best when there is enough consistency to complete the assessment and begin the work.
Weekly sessions are billed individually, with no package or upfront commitment. Although every relationship is different, many couples who experience meaningful change attend at least 12 sessions.
Couples with focused concerns may notice progress sooner. Longer histories of conflict, betrayal, repeated injuries, or disconnection often require more time and consistency.
Because my schedule may be booked several weeks ahead, I recommend reserving 4 appointments in advance to avoid gaps in the work.
Marathon therapy typically involves two to four extended therapy blocks, depending on your goals and the complexity of the concerns.
This is common. Couples therapy can still be helpful when one partner feels more ready, as long as both are willing to participate.
It may not be the right fit when one or both partners have already decided to separate or are unable to engage in the process. In these situations, individual or discernment therapy may be more appropriate. I do not provide discernment therapy.
Yes. This work requires care, structure, honesty, and accountability. The goal is not to rush forgiveness or pressure either partner to move on, but to understand what happened, support meaningful conversations, and determine what the relationship needs to move forward.
