Let’s Get Started

Life is stressful enough. Let me make this part as easy as possible.

Step 1: Check Availability

How to Begin

Book the appointment that matches how you would like to begin. Weekly therapy starts with an initial session. EMDR intensives begin with a consultation. Couples may begin with an available consultation or initial 75-minute couples session.

Step 2: Book Your Starting Appointment

If you are beginning weekly therapy, schedule your initial appointment and four follow-up sessions to secure consistent space in my schedule. The assessment process will help confirm or adjust the treatment format as the work progresses.

Step 3: Plan Ahead for Weekly Therapy

New Client Availability

My weekly therapy schedule is often full, though I accept new clients periodically throughout the year.

Appointments are offered on select weekdays only. Evening and weekend appointments are not available.

I do not routinely maintain a waitlist, though a short-term waitlist may occasionally be offered.

Consultation Calls

Consultation calls are limited and released on the first of each month.

Please review the website before booking a call. These calls are for brief questions about fit, services, fees, availability, and next steps. They are not therapy and do not include clinical advice.

Outside of scheduled consultation calls, I am not able to respond personally to new client inquiries by email or phone.

Looking to work with me sooner?

My weekly therapy schedule is usually full. For individuals and couples who would like to begin sooner, Intensives, Marathon, or Concierge Therapy may offer an earlier way to begin, with the added benefit of a more focused and immersive format

Urgent Support

This practice is not an emergency or crisis service. This website, email, and Jane booking are not monitored for urgent concerns. If you need immediate support, contact local emergency services, go to the nearest emergency department, or contact a crisis service available in your area.

Are you accepting new clients?

Weekly availability changes throughout the year and is updated on my Jane booking page. When weekly openings are limited, EMDR intensives, marathon couples therapy, or concierge couples therapy may still be available.

What are your fees and do you bill insurance directly?

Current rates are listed by session type on my service pages. Payment is required at the time of service by credit card or e-transfer, and sliding scale rates are not available.

I do not bill insurance or other third-party providers directly. You will receive an electronic receipt to submit for possible reimbursement. Please contact your provider directly to confirm your coverage.

Are sessions available in person and online?

I offer both in-person and virtual therapy. You must be physically located in British Columbia or the Yukon at the time of your session.

For virtual couples therapy, both partners must be together in the same room and join from one shared device.

Clients who live elsewhere may travel to British Columbia for an intensive.

What is your cancellation policy?

Regular appointments require at least two business days’ notice by email to avoid being charged. Extended and intensive appointments require two weeks’ notice

Who do you work with, and what do you not provide?

I work with adults and couples. I do not work with children or youth.

My practice focuses on therapy rather than standalone psychological assessments, formal diagnoses, reports, or sessions and letters requested solely for documentation purposes.
